Polished Brass Organic is a living, brass finish, which is supplied with a polishes surface. The nature of this finish means that the brass will slowly mature and age over time to develop a unique, patinated character reminiscent of old brassware. This will mean that over-time, the fixture will lose its initial, well-polished look. Polished Brass Organic is often sought after for the unique characteristics that it develops overtime and is especially suited to organic and sustainable interior design as it requires little intervention to create its final form. And as no two products will ever age in the same way, it provides a truly one-of-a-kind fixture for your home.

Brodware’s organic range consists entirely of living finishes which develop and evolve over time. Our organic finishes will age gracefully and develop a unique patina depending on the climate, exposure, handling, cleaning, and waxing routine that is established. Areas which are frequently touched will lighten into a light, golden colour; whereas areas which are rarely touched will age and darken. Watermarking, green oxidisation and spotting is normal and acceptable on organic finishes. Individual components may be supplied with variation between them and will patina differently to one another over time. If you are seeking a finish which doesn’t age and is supplied consistently, we recommend the Polished Nordic Brass finish from our PVD range.
